Masked but radiant, jewelry brand Mood opens boutique in LA in 2020
No inauguration with Hollywood celebrities and no glitter for the opening of its new brand located in West Los Angeles. But the Swiss company, which likes challenges, managed everything from a distance.
In Los Angeles, the stars scarcely twinkle in this epic cloudy period. Yet the Swiss company Mood, which manufactures designer rings, intends to shine in its new boutique with its Swiss made collections. It opened its doors on October 1st 2020 in West Los Angeles. Customary to this kind of challenge, the European manufacturer managed everything remotely, including the creation of its subsidiary Mood Collection USA Inc.
Born in the French side of Switzerland
Stéphanie Pousaz and Arlette Bélat, who in 2013 took over the brand founded by the artisan-creator, Cédric Chevalley, are making great strides in their business, relying on their instincts. This is how they inaugurated their first brand outside of Switzerland, four years ago, in Barcelona. In the city of Hollywood, they already made themselves known in 2016 when they were selected to show their concept at the MTV Movie Awards, seducing actors and personalities of the show-bizz with their famous interchangeable and customizable rings.
The new store located very close to the glamorous beaches of Santa Monica, naturally does not escape the rules imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. It is visited with a mask. A Swiss native, Valérie, who has been living in Los Angeles for the past 20 years is piloting the new American subsidiary. Unable to get there, Stéphanie Pousaz and Arlette Bélat managed its layout from the company's headquarters in Switzerland.
The first boutique was opened 5 years ago where the workshops, the team of jewelers and craftsmen shape the rings for the collections. Since last year, with the launch of fine jewelry line, there is a wide range of pieces to choose from. The most luxurious rings with diamonds are worth up to $18,000 dollars. But the average price of Mood rings is between $150 and $200 dollars.
